The "Muslims in Academia" (MIA) initiative operates within the intersection of education, diversity, and community empowerment. It serves as a global network dedicated to supporting, connecting, and empowering Muslim academics and students, with a particular emphasis on increasing representation in STEM fields.
challenge.
The primary challenge of this project was to bring the website to life. There were existing sketches of the website and its pages, but my role was to enhance the features, making them visually appealing and usable. At the time I joined, Muslims in Academia was already operating at five global campuses, so I had to ensure there was something unique tailored to each school.
results.
The finished model of the MIA website included separate pages for each campus, stunning visual and interactive effects, and a design system that ensured consistency across all pages. In the end, we had a seamless experience for students, faculty, and community members, while also optimizing structure for future growth.”
